Your choice

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We sort ours into three groups:

  • Necessary: remembers your cookie choice. Always on.
  • Analytics: how people find and use the site, with Google Analytics.
  • Advertising: which ads bring people here and lead to sign-ups, with Google Ads, LinkedIn and Microsoft Advertising.

Where you are decides the starting point. We tell from your connection's country, as Cloudflare reports it; we don't store it with your visit.

  • EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: a banner asks first. Until you choose, no analytics or advertising tool loads and no such cookie is set. You can accept all, reject all, or choose each group.
  • Everywhere else: analytics and advertising are on, and a small notice says so. You can turn them off in Cookie settings at any time.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, analytics and advertising stay off wherever you are.

To change your choice, use Cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. Turning a group off stops its tools and deletes their cookies on ayedesk.com. Cookies that a vendor keeps on its own domain, like google.com or linkedin.com, can only be cleared in your browser or in your account with that vendor.

Our own cookies

Both are set on ayedesk.com and its subdomains, so app.ayedesk.com can read them too. Neither is shared with anyone.

Tools and their cookies

Each tool loads only when its group is allowed, and only once we have set it up. Durations are the longest the vendor sets by default; vendors may change their cookies, and their own policies have the latest list.

The vendors' policies: Google, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Cloudflare. Google, LinkedIn and Microsoft use what their tags collect under their own terms as well, for example to measure and improve their ads; their policies explain how.

We use Google Consent Mode: when you haven't allowed a group, Google's tags are told so and don't store their cookies for it. In the EU, the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we go further and don't load them at all until you say yes.

What we record about a visit

When you join the waitlist, we save with your email how you found us, if your choice allows it: the first and latest campaign from the ayd_attr cookie, the page of the form, the plan you were looking at, your country, and your cookie choice at that moment. We use it to know which campaigns and sites bring people who sign up, and to report sign-ups back to the ad platforms we paid. We keep it as long as the waitlist entry; the privacy policy has the details and your rights.

The app

The app at app.ayedesk.com reads the same cookie choice, so you choose once for both. When you create an account, the app can read ayd_attr to record how you found us. If that cookie can't reach the app, a link from this site to sign-up may carry the same information as a short, signed code that expires after an hour.

Changes and contact

When we add a tool or change what one does, we update this page first, and the date at the top tells you when. Questions: [email protected].
